Important: Please read to ensure the successful completion of this application.

The application will close on October 1st, 2023 at 11:59pm for Term 1. 
The application encompasses student groups who fall under the following categories:

  • Engineering Student Clubs/Associations EUS affiliated, EUS Program Club, EUS Ex-Officio Club, Professional Chapter
  • Other e.g. independent student projects

Graduate student groups and students seeking funding for Travel & Conferences are not covered under this application.
Please don't change file formats, e.g. convert them to PDFs, Google Sheets etc. If you have any questions or concerns about the PAF Excel form, please contact the PAF Coordinator (paf@apsc.ubc.ca) before submitting your application.

The Professional Activities Fund (PAF) exists to enhance professional development activities in the engineering undergraduate program at UBC Vancouver. It is designed to support co-curricular activities and projects that lie outside of, yet are complementary to, the engineering curriculum. ** If your project has already received a Faculty Advisor's Approval and was submitted in Term 1, you do not need to resubmit another Faculty Advisor Approval.

Faculty Advisor Approval PAF requires Faculty Advisors to review and approve all Project applications. Applicants will need to submit a PDF document or screenshot that indicates their Faculty Advisor’s written approval of their Project application(s). Faculty Advisors will review each Project application to ensure that the Design Project is connected to core missions of the Engineering Design Team, project goals/outcomes are robust and that Project budgets are fiscally responsible.

For each project, please upload the email thread PDF/ screenshot of your faculty advisor's approval.
The submission should also include the Faculty Advisor’s email, send date of the email, as well as the Project application’s name/high-level information.
