Gain valuable intercultural skills and experience by studying for a term at one of our internationally acclaimed partner institutions, conducting research over the summer, or participating in a global conference.
There are a range of opportunities to suit your interests, degree plan, budget, and learning goals.
Exchange
Study for 1 or 2 terms at one of our international partner institutions while earning credits that can be applied directly to your UBC degree. Through the Go Global network you can access 200+ partner institutions around the world to tailor your degree to match your unique interests.
Research Abroad
Conduct Research Abroad through a structured program with Go Global or with a self-organized placement. Engaging in research abroad can enhance your technical skills, in addition to your interpersonal skills and expose you to new practices from different global contexts.
Summer Abroad
Make use of your summer and enjoy studying a few credits abroad at one of our university partners. This is a great flexible option as it doesn’t disrupt your timetable during the winter session. Summer programs are usually shorter in duration, which means you can pair this experience with travel or another activity.
Global Seminars
Take a course led by a UBC professor that ventures abroad to enhance your learning. Nothing compares to seeing globally significant sights and environmental phenomena in action for yourself, and these high impact courses offer just that. Each Global Seminar is organized in a different way to maximize your learning.
