Second Year Placement: How I Chose My Program

In Year 2, you will be placed into a specialized Engineering program, such as Civil Engineering, Biomedical Engineering and more! There is no need to choose now, but we encourage you to spend your first year exploring different disciplines and what drives you. In Second Year Placement: How I Chose My Program, senior students from various programs will share how decided what they program they want to pursue, and talk about their experiences in their programs!

We are excited to present our Welcome to Engineering 2022 Event Series!

In this event series, current students will share their experiences and insights on a variety of topics to help you prepare for UBC Engineering. These events are developed and facilitated by Senior Orientation Leaders and/or student staff. These are also spaces where you can ask questions and connect more meaningfully with your peers.
