UBC AISES, a member of the nearly 200 AISES chapters, provides Indigenous post-secondary STEM students and Indigenous STEM professionals the chance to network, serve the community, and engage in professional development opportunities both in the Lower Mainland and throughout North America.
WiE is an organization who advocates for equity, diversity, and inclusion in engineering. It was created by faculty and students to promote the recruitment, retention, and advancement of women in the engineering profession. WiE supports the student population through career and leadership professional development.
Gears and Queers is an LGBTQ+ engineering club dedicated to creating an open, accepting space for queer engineering students at UBC. The club strives to create a community for queer engineering students and provides a positive safe space on the UBC campus through social and professional events
The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is a student and professional based organization with over 700 chapters dedicated to the development of impactful programs for increasing Black and ethnic minority participation in the fields of engineering and engineering technology.
