Please note that there are restrictions on who can access these spaces.

  • CHBE 104 (Limited to teams that have space in CHBE 104)
  • EDC 101 (Competition Team Space, Composites Room, Downdraft Table)
  • EDC 102 (Competition Team Space)
  • EDC 211 (Shared Workshop, design space portion is available to all members. Fabrication space portion is limited to members that have completed MECH, ELEC, PHAS, or BCIT shop training.)
  • EDC 213 (Shared Electronics Workroom)
  • EDC 301, 303, 320 (Meeting/conference rooms)
  • LMRS (Limited to teams that have space in LMRS)
  • HENN (Limited to EDTs who have space in Hennings; limited number of individual with access granted)

Procedure for EDC 101, EDC 102, CHBE 104 & LMRS:

Note: Access information is collected when Engineering Design Teams submit their rosters (September 30, January 31, May 31). Students must already be on the team roster (submitted through SuperApp) and have completed all necessary APSC training courses to be eligible for access. 

If you are not on a submitted roster, you will not receive access. Please reach out to your captain to ensure you are included on the upcoming roster submission.

1. Have your Captain complete the Training for Engineering Student Leaders (TESL) Canvas Course

(August-September; mandatory) Online Canvas training course.

2. Have all members complete the three mandatory online safety training courses on the UBC Risk and Safety Services website.

It is required that all members complete the training prior to any members obtaining access. Please note that for courses that must be completed annually, you will not receive a new certificate ID.

  1. Engineering Design Team Safety Orientation (must be completed annually, starting in September)
  2. WHMIS 2015 General Audience (must be reviewed annually, starting in September. New certificate not required)
  3. Preventing & Addressing Workplace Bullying & Harassment Training (only required to be completed once)
  4. Privacy and Information Security – Fundamentals Part 1 (only required to be completed once)

3. Submit Updated EDT Roster

Students must be on the official roster submitted to APSC PD to be considered for access. 

  • Students must have completed all required safety courses to be considered for access.
  • Roster collections happen three times a year - September 30th, January 31st, and May 31st.
  • Students who have been added to a design team roster after student group registration (SuperApp) should not be engaging in prototyping work until they are on a roster that has been submitted to APSC PD.

Space Access Request Form - Qualtrics

This survey is intended for students on Engineering Design Teams that would like to request access to their team space in an APSC Controlled Space. Students must already be on the team roster (submitted through SuperApp) and have completed all necessary APSC training courses to be eligible for access. If you submit this form and are not on a submitted roster, you will not receive access. 

Please note that access requests are only processed twice a month as students were expected to have completed all training and requirements by the roster submission deadline for the term.

The Qualtrics form should be completed individually for each member who may not have received access due to unforeseeable circumstances (ex. new student ID). The survey will ask for the following information:

  • Student Name (First Last)
  • Design Team Name(s)
  • Student Number
  • FOB number (first 6 digits at the bottom of the student card) - Marked with an asterisk (*)
  • Rooms Requested (i.e. EDC 101)
